Beach House In Paradise is
located on the island of Oahu, at an elevation of 7 feet, in the small coastal
town of Hau'ula. Is that the
Windward (i.e. East) Side or North Shore? Well, that's a point for debate.
Although I suppose it doesn't much matter, we tend to believe that the North Shore
does not begin until you round the bend about 6-8 miles north (around Turtle Bay Resort) and the coastline
turns to face more
northerly, and thereby accepting those famous winter North Shore waves. We
personally tend to think of Hau'ula and the area as
"Northern Windward Side," but you'll hear more people than not refer to it as
the North Shore, or simply "Country."
Whatever
you want to call the area, Hau'ula and the stretch of coastline it sits on offer
an old Hawaiiana charm not found elsewhere on Oahu. For a more detailed
description of Hau'ula, please check out this
brochure prepared by the Hawaii Ecotourism
Association.
The area claims some of the best beaches in
the world, has endless hiking opportunities, and the property is only about a 4
minute drive to "Hawaii's #1 paid
tourist attraction," The Polynesian Cultural
Center. Beach House In Paradise brings these opportunities virtually to your
doorstep, while remaining accessible to the activities of downtown Honolulu and
Waikiki. The following interactive Google Map offers over 80 things to see, eat,
and do within a thirty minute drive of our place.
